What started this blog? Today I looked up what it meant to be a "crunchy" mom. I have heard the term before, but didn't realize it had a significant meaning. So, I googled it and found that it was in reference to a parental choice to be all natural. Meaning that they cloth diaper, baby wear, use organic products etc. Where do I fit in with this term? I thought about it, and realized that I am not "ALL natural." However there are things I am passionate about-like cloth diapering-that are environmentally conscious. So, I wouldn't say that I am a "crunchy" mom, but I can't say that I am not. Then, it hit me.
As mothers, we research so many decisions we have to make. We measure the pros and cons of every choice, and I would venture to say that most, if not all, of us ask others their opinions. Personally, I know that talking to other moms was a huge part of my research. In fact, their REAL life experience is what I valued the most. So, I want to offer my two cents. It may be worth nothing to you, but this blog is all about what I do as a mother, who inspires me as a mother, and where I aspire to be--AS A MOTHER. I will make mistakes, but will learn from them as I go. Hopefully, these experiences can benefit someone else.
My name is Sara. I have an amazing husband, Josh, of three years. On May 17, 2011, I was given the most amazing gift-Claire Elizabeth. I am so blessed to have experienced pregnancy, successfully have an all natural birth and be a stay-at-home mom. The past six and a half months have been crazy intense. Full of so much wonder, excitement, knowledge and everything in between. Since a young girl I wanted to be a mother. To finally have a child of my own feels like a dream:)
I will close by saying that basically, I have SO MUCH TO SAY. HA
